Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We recall that on his third missionary journey, Paul encountered a small group of Christian disciples in the city of Ephesus. Luke records that Paul’s first question to them concerned the Holy Spirit. ‘Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?’ Acts 19:2. Clearly, Paul considered baptism in the Holy Spirit to be a foundational aspect of life as a Christian.
