Lift up the Hands is a song of ‘turning’, of making a proper response to the loving discipline of the Father. How should we respond in times of discipline? ‘Lift up the hands which hang down’, we are told by the writer of Hebrews, and ‘strengthen the feeble knees’. Straighten up! Don’t become discouraged or faint.
